Just a Minute! on the PBGC's Annual Report

As we reported in the January 29 Benefits Byte, the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) issued its 2025 annual report on January 28, showing that, while the agency's single-employer defined benefit plan program is in excellent health, the system continues to shed plans and participants at an alarming rate.

In this edition of Just a Minute!, Council President Katy Johnson cites the Council's proposals that would help restore the vitality of single-employer defined benefit plans, starting with a temporary suspension of PBGC premiums.
