As we reported in the July 27 Benefits Byte, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) issued proposed rules giving health plans increased flexibility to provide required disclosure to participants electronically, building on the 2002 “wired at work” standard and largely mirroring 2020 final regulations for retirement plans.
