Just a Minute! Looking Ahead to SECURE 3.0

The past several years represent a remarkable period for retirement legislation, including the enactment of the Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement (SECURE) Act of 2019 and its sequel, the SECURE 2.0 Act of 2022. Now available for Council members is a high-level overview of retirement savings-related bills that have been introduced since 2023.

In this edition of Just a Minute!, Council President Katy Johnson explains how this recent legislation could comprise elements of a forthcoming SECURE 3.0 measure.
