As we reported in the May 2 Benefits Byte, the U.S. House of Representatives Bipartisan Working Group on Paid Family Leave recently unveiled the More Paid Leave for More Americans Act, which would establish a national intermediary to improve coordination among paid family leave programs.
In this episode of Just a Minute!, American Benefits Council President Katy Johnson explains why the introduction of this bill represents an important step for paid leave policy and why the Council applauded working group co-chairs Stephanie Bice (R-OK) and Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) and offered its support for the measure.
