Just a Minute! on Preventive Care and Vaccine Policy

As we reported in the October 6 Benefits Byte, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recently adopted new standards for the combined MMRV vaccine for children and the COVID-19 vaccine, based on recent recommendations from ACIP. These new recommendations dictate what must be covered without cost-sharing under the ACA preventive services requirement.

In the latest edition of Just a Minute!, American Benefits Council President Katy Johnson calls on plan sponsors to provide input on how their companies are grappling with these and other potential changes to federal vaccine policy, and what that means for coverage of preventive care, generally.

Some plan sponsor members may have received a survey from us on October 14 that asks some of these important questions.
